Depart from various capital cities and meet up with the remainder of the group in Singapore
Day 2 Fri 11 May
LONDON
Arrive London Heathrow Airport where we meet our guide who will be waiting to escort us to our city hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure until we meet for dinner this evening in the hotel’s restaurant (D)
Day 3 Sat 12 May 
LONDON – ROCHESTER – CANTERBURY
Transfer by coach to Canterbury via Rochester where we visit the Cathedral and Castle.f the Castle. Continue on to Canterbury for a guided tour of the Cathedral followed by a walking tour of the cityl. Tonight we will be staying at the Canterbury Cathedral Lodge Hotel and Dinner is reserved at nearby Deeson’s Restaurant, (or similar) serving the best of British cuisine from local produce. The restaurant is located approximately a five-minute walk away from the Lodge Hotel. (B,D)

CANTERBURY – ST ALBANS – CAMBRIDGE
Early departure to St Albans in time for either the 11:15hrs or 12:15hrs Eucharist held at the Cathedral. After a lunch stop continue by coach to Cambridge and King’s College Chapel for Evensong. (B,D)
Day 5 Mon 14 May
CAMBRIDGE- NORWICH
This morning we enjoy a guided walking tour of Cambridge before joining your coach for transfer to Norwich. Upon arrival in Norwich visit St Julian’s Cell located within St Julian’s Church followed by a visit to the Cathedral before transferring to our hotel. (B,D)

NORWICH – NORFOLK BROADS – WALSINGHAM
Transfer by coach to Walsingham via the Norfolk Broads for a guided tour. Then on to Walsingham. The next two days will be at leisure to experience the spirituality of this pilgrim site. We shall be present for the weekly pilgrim procession and various services. Ample time to explore both the Anglican and Roman Catholic establishments and chapels, together with the nearby village. WALSINGHAM – KINGS LYNN – STRATFORD UPON AVON
Travel on with our guide and coach to Kings Lynn for sightseeing at leisure. Then on to Stratford-upon-Avon where we have planned a guided walking tour. (B,D)
Day 10 Sat 19 May
STRATFORD-UPON-AVON – WARWICK – OXFORD
Transfer to Warwick Castle for a visit (not including the Castle Dungeon) and then on to Oxford for overnight. (B,D)
Day 11 Sun 20 May
OXFORD
Enjoy a morning Eucharist at Christ Church Cathedral followed by a guided walking tour of the city to include a visit to St Mary’s Church. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. (B)
Day 12 Mon 21 May
OXFORD – BATH
This morning transfer to Bath for a guided visit to Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths and Jane Austen’s House. We will also have time for a photo outside the house of Captain Arthur Phillip at 19 Bennett Street, Bath. Then on to the Benefice of St Nicholas, Bathampton and St Mary the Virgin, Claverton, where the Australian Chapel was constructed in 1974 and a memorial for Phillip lies. (B, D)

BATH – WELLS – SALISBURY
Travel on to Wells, nestled at the foot of the Mendip Hills, for a guided tour of Wells Cathedral, followed by free time to explore the smallest city in England, and the only one in Somerset. Continue to Salisbury for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

SALISBURY
Enjoy a guided walking city tour this morning followed by a visit to Salisbury Cathedral and on to Wilton House. Then we join our coach for a visit to Stonehenge. Return to Salisbury for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Transfer back to our London hotel today. (B,D)
Day 16 Fri 25 May
LONDON
Enjoy a full day guided London sightseeing tour by coach, to include the best of London’s sights, main attractions being: Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London, finishing at the Tower– entrances included to St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London. A two-course lunch is included today at The Sherlock Holmes Public House & Restaurant in Westminster (or similar). After lunch and accompanied by your guide take the short walk to the London Eye for a flight, then back to our hotel. (B,L)
This evening we will offer an optional Medieval Banquet to include return coach transfer, a four-course banquet, unlimited wine & beer with meal, entertainment & disco between 19:15 – 23:30hrs

Enjoy a full day at leisure exploring the many sights London has to offer. (B)
Full-day optional excursions offered will include coaching to: Windsor Castle or Greenwich Village (National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory & Old Royal Naval College) or Kew Gardens
Optional evening Jack the Ripper Tour including return coach transfers
Optional theatre visit – depending on availability

Another full day at leisure before we join up for our Farewell Dinner at The Grazing Goat or similar) which is within a five minute walk of your hotel. (B, D)

Check-out of your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Heathrow for the return flight to Australia (B)

Inclusions
- Accommodation – hotels are mainly locally graded 4* with private facilities. Pilgrim accommodation with private facilities at Walsingham. (Tour based on share twin accommodation. Supplement is payable for passengers requiring single rooms.

Not Included:
- Airfares and airline taxes – we will be offering a group airfare for this tour with Singapore Airlines, depending on numbers. Alternatively, passengers are free to choose their own airline and meet at our London hotel.
- Tips – to driver and guide, and anywhere else you have received good service.
- Insurance – Travel Insurance is extremely important. You are at liberty to arrange this through your own insurance provider. However, Travelmarket, in association with Canterbury Tours, will be happy to arrange this on your behalf.
- Passport and visa fees. No visa fees required.
- Drinks with meals
- Items of a personal nature – this goes without saying!

Additional sightseeing tours, during this tour, will be available as follows:

Cost of these tours will depend on the number of participants, and will include return transfers.
If you elect to travel on the group airfare, you must travel both to and from our destination with the group – deviation is not possible. However, you may decide to travel on a non-group airfare with Singapore Airlines or another carrier and in this case your airline ticket is normally valid for 12 months, and you may return from alternative European cities, subject to availability.
Depending on the routing of airline you choose, it is possible to arrange for stopovers en route.
Important – Please Note:
While every effort has been made to assess the cost of this tour as a whole, should there be variances to currency exchange rates, Canterbury Tours reserves the right to impose a surcharge to the quoted cost.
Should the tour numbers not reach the minimum required to obtain the quoted price, the tour may have to be cancelled. In this case a full refund of monies paid would be offered, or alternatively, the group as booked would be offered the option to proceed with the tour at a price to cover the reduced numbers.
Deposit
A deposit of $500 per person is required to confirm a place on the tour. Please consider Cancellation Insurance at this time, as this deposit is non-refundable except under extreme circumstances.
Balance of Payment
Full payment of the balance of the tour cost will be due and payable by 10 February 2012. After that date all unused accommodation will be released to the overseas suppliers, and late applications to join the tour will be possible only upon request and consultation with the various overseas suppliers and the airline concerned.
Health
This tour is not strenuous, though there are days when quite a deal of walking is required, and often on cobblestoned streets, – please consider your individual capabilities in this regard. The tour is not rushed and will be conducted to please all passengers if possible. The nature of the touring determines that we have a number of one-night only stopovers (London, Canterbury, Cambridge, Norwich, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath). We are not planning very early morning starts, though there are days when several hours will of necessity need to be spent in travelling.

Additional Arrangements:
Travelmarket, in association with Canterbury Tours, will be happy to arrange any extensions to your tour. Hotels, touring, flight reservations, car hire, rail travel, cruising etc may be booked at the end of your tour.
